In
Ozd the visitor can
admire the castle of general Pekry Lorincz, built in a
French gothic style in 1682 and restored in 1732.
In the course of time, the
castle was the residence of several public institutions:
the kindergarten, the school, the house of culture, the
agricultural association etc.
Traces of a location dating
from the Roman Age were also discovered in the eastern
part of Ozd.
The poet Horváth
János was born in Ozd, October the 9th, 1909. The
memorial house in Ozd bears his name. |
