Documentary
evidence of Cris dates from 1305, under the name of Kreisch.
A strong Saxon community lived in the area.
The village is famous due to the
Bethlen Castle (XIV - XVIIth centuries) whose beauty delights
the eye of the visitor. In 1996, thanks to the Ministry of Culture,
the restoring of the castle began.
